About this site

The AC in Your Flat is a publication about looking after a split AC in an Indian home. It is not an AC service firm, it takes no calls and books no work.

The site has no connection to any AC company with a similar name, or to any business that used this web address before. Please contact your own service provider or the maker about your unit.

How the stories are made

Each story pairs pictures with short text. Facts come from government releases, maker pages and manuals, and named news reports, listed at the foot of each story with the date we checked. Where a source is a maker or a seller, we say so. We haven't tested any AC, and we don't rank brands or name repair firms as good or bad.

This is general information. Wiring and earthing rules vary and an electrician decides. Refrigerant, capacitor, compressor and wiring work, and anything on an outdoor unit at height, are for trained people.

Who runs it

This site is run by the same team as two US businesses it links to as reference examples: PlumbingSupplyAndMore, a US supply house, and Central Plumbing & HVAC, a service company in Pennsylvania. Neither sells to India or works there. Links to them have a note beside them saying so.

Pictures labelled "AI-generated picture" were made by computer and show no real home. The rest are real photographs, listed on the picture credits page.
